AirTAC GA Series FRL Air Preparation Sizing & Selection Guide
The GA series represents modern compact air treatment units comprising GAF filters, GAR regulators, GAL lubricators, and integrated GAFC combos. Proper FRL sizing prevents system pressure drop and protects pneumatic cylinders from moisture corrosion.

Filtration Micron Rating (40μm vs 5μm)
40μm is the general factory standard for standard actuators and valves. For precision proportional valves, air bearings, or delicate instrumentation, a 5μm filter followed by a 0.01μm coalescing oil-mist separator is mandatory.
Locking Pressure Adjustment Knob
Pull up to unlock, rotate clockwise to increase secondary pressure, counter-clockwise to reduce, and push down to lock. Built-in internal relieving diaphragm automatically exhausts downstream overpressure.
Condensate Drain Sizing
Manual drain requires periodic operator discharge. Differential drain automatically expels moisture whenever the line is depressurized. Float-type auto drain discharges continuously whenever the water level rises.
Bowl Guard & Polycarbonate Safety
GA series bowls are molded from high-impact polycarbonate encased in a steel or aluminum protective cage. Avoid contact with synthetic compressor oils containing esters or chlorinated solvents.

How do I choose between GAFC (3-in-1 combo) and GFR (Filter-Regulator combo)?▼
If your downstream cylinders use modern factory-lubricated seals and require oil-free air, use GFR (Filter-Regulator 2-in-1). If operating air motors, high-speed pneumatic grinders, or older heavy machinery that requires continuous lubrication, use the GAFC combo with lubricator.
