Gripper Engineering Sizing Rules
Effective Gripping Force Ratio (10x ~ 20x Safety Factor)
Under dynamic robot acceleration (> 10 m/s²), the nominal static gripping force must exceed workpiece weight by 10 to 20 times to prevent slipping under inertial shock loads.
Overhang Distance & Center of Gravity
Long customized gripper finger attachments multiply pitch and yaw moments on the internal cross-roller guides. Always keep the gripping point within published L (length) and H (height) envelope charts.
Magnetic Sensor Integration
Standard bodies feature integrated C-slots on both lateral faces for flush-mounting solid-state D-M9 or D-A9 magnetic reed sensors to detect open and closed jaw positions.
Dust Wiper & Cleanroom Options
For dusty casting or grinding operations, specify protective dust covers (silicone / fluororubber). For medical and electronic assembly, specify low-dust vacuum purge ports.
